One Word Many Meanings

Each Classical Tamil word has many possible meanings

Because in incantation languages like Classical Tamil, each word has many possible meanings to it, with mind humbly invoking Lord Siva's Grace, we just have to look into the classical Tamil dictionary for the meaning of each word in a Tirumantiram verse that yields a coherent and wholesome meaning.

Tirumantiram 136 - Tantra 1 - Soul abides in Siva

அப்பினில்  கூர்மை ஆதித்தன் வெம்மையால்
உப்பெனப் பேர்பெற்று உருச்செய்த அவ்வுரு
அப்பினில் கூடி-அது ஒன்று-ஆகும் ஆறு போல்
செப்பினில்  சீவன் சிவத்துள் அடங்குமே.  136.

Literal Translation
1  Ocean-in sharp-subtleness Sun heat-by
2  Salt-thus name-(having-)obtained heat-made that-form
3  Ocean-in merged-that one becoming-method akin
4  Utter-if soul Siva-in merge-will.

Lucid Translation
1  The sharp-subtleness (of salinity) in the ocean
2  abides by the heat of the Sun.
3  Like the way, the heat-made salt-form becomes merged in the ocean,
4  if uttered (explicitly), the (individual) soul will abide merged in Siva.
